Local Teachers Become Students for a Day

Area teachers recently committed a day to their own education by attending a full day workshop at MSU St. Andrews. Their goal: to learn about 3D design and printing in order to incorporate the concepts into their student lesson plans.

MSU researchers Bob Bubeck and Tracy Zhang hosted separate two groups of teachers on March 21 and 22. Teachers in attendance were given a general overview of 3D design and printing, then provided access to workstations with computer aided design (CAD) software to begin creating their own projects.

Teachers gave very positive reviews after the training including that they were excited to integrate 3D printing into their classrooms.
