The Midland Section of the American Chemical Society is sponsoring technical and educational programs. An overview of the schedule is available at the CERM 2019 website. June 6-8 will offer educational programs with hands-on workshops and 2YC3 programs at MSU St. Andrews and next door at the library. View a list of the educational programs. All educators including pre-service teachers are welcome! Registration for local pre-college teachers increases from $25 to $40 after April 30. Lunches are included with registration, along with a tour and dinner at the Chippewa Nature Center on June 7. For those who cannot attend locally, there are five additional sites for “live participation” (Wittenberg University (OH), University of Toledo, University of Southern IN, Wheeling Jesuit University (WV), and Marquette, MI) where a subset of workshops will be offered with a facilitator and supplies through two-way broadcasts (Zoom). Registration is still required at no cost if you plan to attend at one of these sites. Specific location information will be sent to registrants. Registration is also required for individual link-ins for broadcast workshops that do not require chemicals. Register for remote participation. Michigan educators will have an opportunity to earn SCECHS. Others can be provided with certificates. If you have questions, please contact Gina Malczewski at reginamalczewski@gmail.com.
