Sydonie Schimler, MSU St. Andrews faculty, contributes to process chemistry and chemical synthesis research projects at St. Andrews.

She received her BA in chemistry and biochemistry from Lawrence University in 2012 and a PhD from the University of Michigan in 2017, focusing on aryl fluorination chemistry and C–H functionalization of methane. 

Prior to working at MSU St. Andrews, Sydonie worked in process chemistry groups at Dow and Corteva, where she contributed various projects in catalyst development, synthesizing small molecules containing silicone, and process development of insecticides.
