MSU St. Andrews in Midland, Michigan enhances science literacy and STEAM learning opportunities for youth and families in the greater Midland community. Working under the umbrella of MSU Extension and incorporating research based 4-H youth development models, Science Educator, Robin McGuire P.h.D., and 4-H Program Coordinator, Dolores Howe, Ph.D., work together with in-house research faculty to provide outreach and support in multiple science and engineering educational pillars with direct youth programming, intergenerational family opportunities, and K-12 educator professional development opportunities.

Family Astronomy Night provides virtual presentations where participants can explore the night sky, learn about space and technology, and ask questions in real-time.
The summer research experience provides high school students the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of experienced faculty, explore new areas of science. and investigate possible careers in STEM, while improving their research skills and building their resume.
The Lending Library supports STEAM education by offering lab equipment, robotics kits, and 3D printers for loan to educators and club leaders, along with virtual training and workshops.
The Midland County Extension Office provides educational resources and support to the local community, fostering a collaborative environment for STEAM learning.
MSU St. Andrews meeting spaces are available to for small meetings, club gatherings, or after school activities.
